I'm so glad I thumbed through my bookmarks, and visited your site today. Sometimes I get frustrated with my locs, because of the stereotypical labels that come with them. *She smokes weed. She's a Rasta. She doesn't wash her hair.* I've contemplated cutting them off for the forementioned reasons. But when all is said and done, and no matter how ignorant these stigmas and the people who imply them (my mother included, smh)are, I love my locs and I love being natural. I refuse to "fall in line" as SaRoc mentioned, and I will continue to stay in alignment with my self. My true self, as God intended. Whoosh! Glad I got that out. Lol. Thank you HolisticLocs for this post. It was well received.
